Bottom placed Longford Town travel to Dundalk

Vinny Perth will look to make a winning return to the Dundalk dug out as he takes charge for Friday night’s meeting with Longford Town.

Longford Town are currently in the midst of a 14-game winless run, with their only victory this season coming against Derry City on the opening day.

Daire Doyle’s side currently sit 10 points behind the Lilywhites after 15 games, scoring just 10 times and conceding 28, the second worst record in the division.

However, they earned a draw the last time the sides met at the start of May at Bishopsgate when a late Chris Shields goal snatched a point for the Lilywhites.

For town Callum Warfield is still out recovering from his long-term injury. Shane Elworthy is following return to paly protocol’s for concussion
