Páirc Uí Chaoimh confirmed as home venue for EURO 2025 Qualifier

The Ireland women’s team host France at Páirc Uí Chaoimh for their final EURO 2025 qualifier on Tuesday, July 16th.

Due to both Tallaght Stadium and Aviva Stadium being unavailable for this date; the FAI has agreed with The GAA and Cork GAA to use the Cork venue for this game.

This will be the first time since June 2012 that the women’s national team will play a home fixture outside Dublin.

"It’s exciting to be able to play our final game in our EURO 2025 qualifying campaign in Cork” said Ireland WNT Head Coach Eileen Gleeson.

“With both Tallaght Stadium and the Aviva Stadium unavailable it opens up new opportunities”.

"I’ve no doubt that our fans across the Munster region will come out to support us and we're looking forward to playing in front of another large crowd and finishing our group campaign on a high.”

"We are thrilled to welcome the Irish senior women's football team to SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh for such an historic occasion on July 16th” said Cork GAA CEO Kevin O'Donovan.

“On what will be a special date for the city of Cork, this will provide another signal of our desire to rightfully incorporate female sports in our stadium on an equal footing with their male counterparts”.

This will be the seventh senior women’s international in Cork. Following five previously in Turner’s Cross and one in Flower’s Lodge.

This will be the 13th meeting between Ireland and France at senior women’s level. It will be the third time that the game will be hosted in Cork. Previously an International Friendly in 1994 and a EURO qualifier in 2011, both of which were in Turner’s Cross.

UEFA have confirmed that all games on Match Day 6 of the group stage will kick off at 19:00 CET (18:00 Irish Time). Ireland are currently bottom of group A3 with four defeats from four.
