The Town got off to the perfect start with an opening goal but ended up on the wrong side of a 2-1 scoreboard

Longford Town fell to a surprise home defeat to Bray Wanderers in Bishopsgate. Town got off to a good start with Sam Verdon finding the net on nine minutes. Gary Cronin’s side were expected to profit against his old team. However Bray struck back, Kurtis Byrne equalising for the visitors on 21 minutes. Paul Fox got the winner six minutes before the break. Speaking after the game manager Gary Cronin noted his disappointment at losing a game they could have won

Longford's next game is away to Wexford on Friday night.
