Longford Town are now unbeaten in seven matches following a 0-0 draw with Treaty United at Bishopsgate in the SSE Airtricity League First Division.
The opening exchanges were uneventful but Town almost took the lead on 29 minutes only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.
Town were awarded a free kick after Sam Verdon was fouled out wide on the left before Eric Molloy headed Dean McMenemy's delivery into to the net only but the goal didn't stand.
A minute later, the hosts had another chance but Shane Elworthy's 25 yard piledriver was brilliantly tipped over the crossbar by Treaty goalkeeper Jack Brady.
On 33 minutes, Town missed another chance. Aaron Robinson connected with Dylan Barnett's corner kick but his effort was cleared off the line by Lee Devitt.
Treaty's Enda Curran subsequently missed two chances to open the scoring. On 35 minutes he headed Marc Ludden's throw-in over the crossbar and two minutes later, he capitalised on a mistake by Barnett but his shot was repelled by Luke Dennison.
Town should have hit the front on the hour mark but were denied by a brilliant double save from Brady in the Treaty goal
Firstly, he denied Town midfielder Aaron Robinson from 35 yards out and the rebound fell to Verdon who's effort was saved by the Treaty shot stopper.
Town continued to press for the opening goal but there was none forthcoming. On 64 minutes Karl Chambers' headed was tipped over the crossbar by Brady and five minutes later, Shane Elworthy's cross found Verdon who missed the target completely.
Darren Craven fired a 20-yard shot wide of the Treaty post with seven minutes remaining before the visitors almost snatched victory in stoppage time but Marc Ludden's 25-yard free-kick was well saved by Dennison.
