Longford minors are into the quarter finals of the Leinster championship after a comfortable 2-11 to 0-08 point win over Offaly last night. The faithful county had led by a point at half time however a strong start to the 2nd half with goals from Michael Flynn and Harry Kiernan seen Longford take control of the scoreboard and register a 2nd win the group stages of the competition to secure a last 8 spot. Manager Gareth Johnson was more than happy to have reached the knockout stages
Having avoided the back door draw, Longford's next outing will be on May 4th
