Longford face must win game against Monaghan in the Lory Meagher Cup

Longford face Monaghan in a must win Lory Meagher Cup game this Saturday.

It's a game that Longford will need to win to keep their ambitions of making the Croke Park final alive.

Despite having beaten Lancashire by two points and Louth by a point in their last two matches, Longford's dramatic last-gasp one point defeat away to Leitrim in their opening match of the campaign, leaves them with very little room for error.

Monaghan’s league campaign took place in division 3A, winning two of their five matches. Longford reached the Division 3B League Final which they lost by four points to Fermanagh.

Last time out, Longford came back from two points down at half-time against Louth, playing the last 35 minutes of the contest with 14 players, after Evan Tully's dismissal. Winning by a point, 1-16 to 1-15.
