Longford at a low ebb as all clubs exit the provincial championship

It was a disappointing weekend for clubs in Longford as they all exited the provincial championship in both male and female competitions.

St Lomans were far to strong for Killoe Emmet Og in the Leinster senior championship.

It leaves the county without representation in Leinster. Speaking on Monday’s sportsbeat, sports commentator Benny O'Brien noted with the senior inter-county team in Division 4 next year; it is perhaps a reflection of where the sport is in the county.
