The LGFA have defending fixing the Roscommon v Westmeath All-Ireland ladies semi-final directly against the Dublin v Kerry All-Ireland semi-final.
The GAA confirmed the meeting of the two most successful All-Ireland football counties is close to a sell-out; over a week before the sides meet in Croke Park on July 12.
Indeed, on Tuesday, the LGFA announced the All-Ireland intermediate quarter-finals between Westmeath and Roscommon and Fermanagh and Down would both throw-in at 4pm on July 12.
However; the LGFA are sticking to their fixture plan which was approved in September 2025. They also claim no clash occurs as Kerry and Dublin are not involved in the ladies games.
In a statement to the Joe Finnegan Show the LGFA said; “As per our Master fixtures plan, the dates for our TG4 All-Ireland Junior and Intermediate semi-finals were ratified in September 2025.
“Our Junior semi-finals are at 2pm, followed by our Intermediate semi-finals at 4pm”.
“There is no conflict here as the men's teams are not from one of the counties involved in our semi-finals”.
Whereas, former President Mary McAleese; chair of the GAA, LGFA and Camogie integration committee told Shannonside Sport in 2024, that issues existed with fixture setting and a new task force would be setup to address the issue.
