Glen Malone gave Wexford the lead after 30 seconds. Niall Hughes, Mark Rossiter and Ben Brosnan all chipped in with points as Wexford went five ahead after 10 minutes.

Mark Diffley got Leitrim’s second of the afternoon before Oisin McLoughlin landed a pair of two-pointers. Leitrim trailing by nine after 46 minutes, 0-15 to 0-04.
Whereas, Niall Hughes and Michael Kinsella both raised the white flag, Wexford looked to quell any threat of a Leitrim comeback.
Indeed, Leitrim came roaring back with Oisin McLoughlin getting his third two-pointer of the day. Jack Kelly kicked a point, leaving nine between the sides.

Just as Leitrim looked to have the momentum they were punished for a breach with Mark Rossiter making no mistake from the resulting free. Securing the five point victory for Wexford.
Indeed, the loss brought an end to Leitrim’s season with Wexford running out five point winners, 0-20 to 1-15.
