Andy Moran's men now have three wins from as many games.

Leitrim made it three wins on the trot by beating Wexford 3-9 to 1-11 at Pairc Sean MacDiarmada in Allianz football league division four.

The hosts laid a solid foundation for the victory in the first half having led 1-4 to 0-4 at the break and finished the game with four points to spare.

Andy Moran’s men started impressively and Darragh Rooney’s goal on 23 minutes separated the teams at the half-hour mark.

Keith Beirne’s point on 32 minutes saw Leitrim move one point clear before Donal Shanley replied for the visitors two minutes later making it a three-point game at the interval.

Wexford restored parity five minutes into the second half when Martin O’Connor found the net but Leitrim regained the upper hand seven minutes later when Ryan O’Rouke added a second goal.

Wexford drew level once again just after the hour mark before Jack Heslin restored Leitrim’s two-point cushion with one minute remaining.

The hosts sealed victory three minutes into injury time when Conor Cullen found the net as Leitrim ran out four-point winners in the end.
