Killoe Emmet Og are Longford senior champions for the 15th time after a one-point win over Colmcille.
It was a dramatic ending as Killoe held on for a 2-9 to 1-11 win in Glennon Brothers Pearse Park.
Killoe raced into a two-point lead through Gavin Farrelly and Daniel Mimnagh. Colmcille were on level terms on 13 minute through two single Jack Macken points.
Two minutes later Colmcille had the lead for the first time. Macken scoring his third point as Killoe were punished with a 50 metre penalty.
Barry McKeown added a point to move Colmcille four points to two ahead on 20 minutes. However, Paddy Moran and Mimnagh responded for Killoe to level the game three minutes later.
Ciaran McKeown restored Colmcille’s lead a minute before half-time. However, Killoe struck a goal in the half’s final move. Colmcille keeper Noel Farrell didn’t get enough behind Mark Hughes shot. The ball trickled into the net as Killoe led 1-4 to five points at half-time.

Cian Farrelly sent over the first point of the second-half as Killoe picked up where they left off. Jack Macken made a one point game on 39 minutes with the first two-pointer of the day a free.
Two minutes later it was all square as Seanie Smith sent over the equaliser. Smith fisted a point moments later to give Colmcille the lead.
However, Killoe struck back brilliantly, Cian Farrelly firing the ball to the net. Killoe turned the restart over and Mickey Quinn fisted over a point. Killoe leading 2-7 to nine points entering the final-quarter.

Cian Farrelly responded with a Colmcille point before Cathal McCabe found the Killoe net to make it a one point game. 1-9 to 2-7.
Jack Macken fired over a two-pointer from play on 47 minutes to edge Colmcille ahead.
Man-of-the-match Daniel Mimnagh made it all square with a massive point seven minutes from time. Ronan McGoldrick fisted over what proved to be the decisive point two minutes from time.
Colmcille won two long range frees in injury time. With the last kick of the game Barry McKeown saw his 55 metre free sail wide as Killoe won the Longford title 2-9 to 1-11.
