Andy Farrell names team for final home World Cup Warm-up

James Ryan will captain Ireland in the final home match before the Rugby World Cup, against England on Saturday.

Hugo Keenan, Mack Hansen and James Lowe make up the Ireland starting back three.

Bundee Aki and Garry Ringrose are set for their first appearances of the series in midfield. Leinster pair Ross Byrne and Jamison Gibson-Park start in the half-backs.

In the pack, Andrew Porter, Dan Sheehan and Tadhg Furlong start in the front row, with Tadhg Beirne joining Ryan in the second row. Ryan captains Ireland for the eighth time on Saturday.

Peter O'Mahony starts at blindside flanker, with Josh van der Flier at openside. Cian Prendergast is set for his first Ireland start at number eight.

Keith Earls is in line to win his 100th Test cap in green should he feature off the replacements bench.

Head coach Andy Farrell has strong options across the bench. Rob Herring, Jeremy Loughman and Finlay Bealham providing the front row reinforcements.

Meanwhile, World Rugby is appealing the downgrading of Owen Farrell’s red card against Wales to a yellow.

A three-man judiciary panel, let the England captain off without a ban following a hearing this week. Farrell had been cleared to face Ireland.
