It is mixed fortunes for teams from the region over the 2 codes

After a break the Allianz national football league returns this weekend with all 3 teams from the region in action.

Division 1 will see Roscommon make the trip to Croke Park to face Dublin on Saturday evening.

Leitrim who are top of Division 4 welcome Wexford to Carrick-on-Shannon and Longford will be hoping to pick up their first points when they are away to Waterford.

The return of the football, sees a break for the hurlers who have completed two rounds.

Longford moved to the top of Allianz division 3b on Saturday with a victory over Warwickshire but now must wait four weeks to their next outing.

Adrian Moran explained how important the victory over Warwickshire on Saturday was due to the break.

Leitrim are bottom of the table having claimed a draw against Warwickshire in round 1.
