Dundalk see off Longford Town to go fourth in SSE Airtricity premier division

Longford Town fell to their seventh defeat in a row as they fell to a 2-0 defeat to Dundalk.

The post Daire Doyle continued with defeat as second-half goals from Patrick Hoban and Sean Murray saw Dundalk to victory.

Will Patching found Michael Duffy who’s crossed for Pat Hoban to loop his header over Lee Steacy in the Longford goal.

Vinny Perth’s side made it 2-0 with a good team goal finished by Sean Murray on 53 minutes. Murray's low drive pings in off the post and gives Steacy no chance.

The victory see’s Dundalk sit fourth in the SSE Airtricity League table on 48 points with Bohemians and Derry City.
