Down took control in the second-half

Roscommon suffered a third All-Ireland U20B hurling final defeat in-a-row after Down scored a 20 points to 11 victory.

Roscommon had the measure of Down in the first-half. Down taking a one point lead, eight points to seven at the break.

Sean Canning 0-2, Paddy Fallon 0-2 1f and one point each from Rory Coyle, Ryan Conlon and Tommy Flemming with the Rossies first-half scores.

A flurry of scores in the opening six minutes of the second-half saw the game tied at 10-points each.

Three Paddy Fallon frees registering Roscommon’s second-half scores. However, the Rossies would only score once more in the game.

Sean Canning scoring 13 minutes from time the last Roscommon score of the day. Down pushed onto win by nine points, 20 points to 11.
