Roscommon GAA have been awarded a Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund for the Dermot Earley centre development.
A successful application to the Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund, resulted in €5.5 million being made available to the project.
Indeed, the award documents notes the funding for use in “development of club house, gym, pitches and training area. Floodlighting”.
The Dermot Earley center of excellence will incorporate three full-size floodlit ptches, two new astroturf pitches. Warm-up areas and a stand for spectators. Whereas, planning permission for the centre was awarded in December 2023.
Also celebrating is the Shannonside centre awarded €3.3m for an eight-lane 400m athletics track with an internal grass pitch. Full-size multi-sport 4G pitch with floodlights and dressing rooms.
