Longford seen their Leinster U20 campaign get underway with a defeat to Meath in Group 1when they went down by 12 points to 4. 6 points separated the sides at half time with the Royals leading by 8 points to 2, but Longford failed to captilize on the strong breeze that they had in the 2nd half as they were outscored by 4 points to 2.
