Daire Feeley holds Ras Tailteann yellow jersey going into final stage

Roscommon’s Daire Feeley produced another stealer performance to hold the yellow jersey heading into the final stage of the Ras Tailteann.

Saturday’s fourth stage from Lisdoonvarna to Kilbeggan over 154km was won by Rory Townsend. Picking up team Ireland’s second victory in two days.

18-year-old Odhran Doogan (Orwell Wheelers), took second place. Matteo Cigala, an Italian rider based in Ireland and riding for Carlow Dan Morrissey finished third.

Feeley racing for Cork VeloRevolution produced another brave performance, to defend his lead.

Feeley goes into tomorrow’s fifth stage to Co Louth; the final day of action with nearly a one minute lead on his nearest rival; stage two winner Louis Sutton (Broracer-Ale).
