Possibility of 10-20mm (approx) of rain forecast for tonight,

Following an inspection earlier today, the course at Leopardstown was found to be fit for racing.

However, with the possibility of 10-20mm (approx) of rain forecast for tonight, there will be a further inspection of the course tomorrow, Saturday, at 8am.

This will determine whether this meeting can go ahead as scheduled.

In the event of the course being unfit for racing after tomorrow morning’s inspection, the following contingency plan will apply:

  • Leopardstown’s Saturday meeting will transfer to this Bank Holiday Monday, February 2 and original declarations will stand
  • The meeting already scheduled for Punchestown on Bank Holiday Monday, February 2 will transfer to next Wednesday, February 4. Indeed, original entries stand with declarations to run to be made by 10am on Monday February 2.
