Connacht collapse to Ospreys defeat

Connacht let a 21 point lead slip to suffer defeat to Ospreys in their opening Challenge Cup game.

Connacht charged out of the traps with Finlay Bealham and Sean Jansen touching down inside 17 minutes. Sean Naughton converted both.

Jack Aungier 23^rd minute try with Naughton’s additional two saw Connacht lead 21-0. However, it was the visitor’s last score of the day.

Harri Deaves try saw Connacht lead 21-5 at half-time.  Then came the Welsh comeback.

Try’s from Phil Cokanasiga, Ryan Smith and Iestyn Hopkins plus two Dan Edwards conversions saw Ospreys to a comeback 24-21 win.
