The Leitrim club will contest a first ever decider in Croke Park

The countdown is on for Ballinamore Sean O’Heslin's as they prepare for an historic trip to Croke Park on Saturday to compete in the All-Ireland intermediate final.

The Leitrim and Connacht champions will face Glanmire of Cork at GAA headquarters at three o’clock. The game is part of a double header with the senior final at five.

Chairperson of the Leitrim LGFA, Kathy Butler, notes the massive sense of pride all of the county have in the achievements so far of the Ballinamore club.

Indeed the build up to the decider has gotten off to a great start. Róisín McHugh has been honoured with The Croke Park/LGFA Player of the Month award for November 2023.

The centre forward was player of the match in her club's county senior B final victory over St Mary's Kitoghert. McHugh produced another Player of the Match display in the Connacht Final victory over Sligo's Eoghan Rua.
