The final 2 rounds will be held in Monaghan and Cavan

The attention turns back to the National night navigation championship this weekend with Cork once again been the host county as they hold their 1000 Shakes Navigation trial. Shanballymore Community Hall is headquarters for the event with the crews set to face an 85 mile route. Conor Mohan (Navigator) and Michael Carbin (Driver) are the provisional championship leaders with fellow Monaghan navigators Ryan Treanor and Conor Boylan in 2nd and 3rd places. Derek Mackarel occupies 2nd place in the driver championship with Corks Derek Butler in 3rd.

A number of competing crews from the region are expected to make the trip down south before the final 2 rounds return back to Monaghan on March 12th and Cavan provisionally on the 26th of March.
