Arsenal retain Premier league top spot

Hearts lose out to Hibs

Arsenal maintained their two point advantage at the top of the Premier League with a hard fought 2-1 win over Brighton.

Manchester City kept the pressure on the leaders with their 2-1 success at Nottingham Forest.

The late Diogo Jota's children led his two former teams out before Liverpool beat bottom club Wolves 2-1 at Anfield.

Brentford thrashed Bournemouth 4-1, Fulham beat West Ham 1-nil in their London derby and Burnley against Everton ended 0-0.

Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts suffered a 3-2 defeat to Hibs in the Edinburgh derby.

Celtic moved to within three points of the summit as they came from behind twice to beat Livingston 4-2.

Rangers are up to third after their 1-nil victory over Motherwell at Ibrox. Dundee got their first win in five as they beat Falkirk 1-nil.

St Mirren and Kilmarnock drew 0-0
