O’Rourke scored a unanimous victory over Sweden’s Love Holgersson on Wednesday evening.
The Roscommon boxer must reach a final to book an Olympic place.
Meanwhile, Kellie Harrington and Michaela Walsh will be heading to Paris after their quarter-finals victories yesterday. Joining them will be Dean Clancy who secured a first ever Olympic placing.
While, Jack Marley is through to the heavy weight semi-final where one more win will see him claim an Olympic place.
