A former member of An Garda Síochána says garda discretion doesn't work.
Speaking on The Joe Finnegan Show this morning, Garda Whistleblower John Wilson says if this was another jurisdiction, this wouldn't even be an issue.
He shared an example of when he allowed someone discretion and how it very nearly resulted in disaster.
