A leading healthcare’s company’s plans to create an additional 150 jobs in Longford town are progressing further.
In November, the council gave Abbott Ireland approval to develop a 3,000-square-metre extension to its plant at Lisnamuck.
And last week, the company was also given the go-ahead for a further 500-square-metres of prefabricated office accommodation, subject to nine conditions.

Local councillor Gerry Warnock’s wife works in the existing Abbott facility, which is set to be extended, and Eoghan Murphy asked him about the plans.
