Mullingar Credit Union will hold its AGM online again this year for the second year in a row due to Covid.

The meeting was orgnaised  in advance of the lifting of restrictions on last Friday evening and manager Tom Allen has confirmed it will go ahead at planned on next Wednesday the 26th.

The memberhip of the Credit Union has grown by over 2,000 in the last year and savings have increased substantially again for the second year as Covid restrictions prevented people from spending on items like home refurbishment and new cars.

The Credit Union which has seen a merger of Mullingar and much of Longford in the past couple of years will also change its name in the coming months to the North Midlands Credit Union.

Manager Tom Allen has been speaking on the Let's Talk show about the performance of the past yar and what the coming year might look like, especially with the lifting of the majority of Covid restrictions.
