A Roscommon Operation Transformation participant has been defending the show's format after some concerns expressed this week.

There's been criticism in recent days that the show is focused too much on weight loss and targets, instead of a more holistic approach.

Some groups have said the show can actually bring distress to people who have eating disorders.

Garda Inspector Dave Cryan, who's from Tulsk, took part in the 2018 show series.

He told Anne Norris on the Let's Talk show that his experience had been hugely positive and is something which is still helping him four years on.
