Plans for a bypass of Ballymahon have been dismissed by one local community activist.
Niall Dowler of the Ballymahon Community Information Partnership believes better traffic management is needed instead.
He was speaking following a joint motion by councillors at this week's Municipal District meeting.

Councillors want a bypass on the N55 to reduce traffic flow and improve road safety.
