A Roscommon woman waited over 48 hours on a trolley in Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe this week.
She was taken to the hospital by ambulance on Monday afternoon with a serious health issue. She was eventually admitted to a ward on Wednesday evening after spending over two days on a trolley in a packed emergency department.
Eoghan Murphy met Councillor Valerie Byrne, from the Roscommon Hospital Action Committee, at her home in Elphin this morning to discuss the case.
