Tulsk native, Callum Clarke, was just 11-years-old when he saved his grandfather from drowning during a fishing trip in 2021.

A young Roscommon boy was honoured at last weekend's Bravery Awards at Farmleigh House. Tulsk native, Callum Clarke, was just 11-years-old when he saved his grandfather from drowning during a fishing trip in 2021. The then-sixth class pupil managed to pull his grandfather Sean Stroker from the water after a freak gust of wind capsized their boat on Killina Lake near Tulsk.

He was honoured with a silver medal at the National Bravery Awards on Friday last. Speaking to the Joe Finnegan Show, Callum explained how he saved his grandfather's life:
