Work is due to get underway early in the New Year on the Junction project in Ballinamore.
It's just over six weeks since Leitrim County Council confirmed contracts were signed for the project at the old secondary school on the Swanlinbar road in the town.
Two million euro is expected to be spent on the refurbishment of the former school and Ballinamore Railway Station which will then become the trailhead of the Cavan and Leitrim greenway project.
