Well-known Roscommon businessman remembered as a 'force of nature'

He was a sports enthusiast and won a Connacht Minor GAA Football Championship medal with Roscommon, and was also a community activist in Boyle.

Tributes are being paid to a well-known Roscommon businessman who has died suddenly in the US.
Dessie McLoughlin, who hailed from Boyle, passed away at the age of 61 while holidaying in San Francisco.
He was the founder of Trojan IT, which is a significant employer in Boyle, and was also the founding director of Shannonside Radio.

Mr McLoughlin was a sports enthusiast and won a Connacht Minor GAA Football Championship medal with Roscommon, and was also a community activist in Boyle.
Speaking to Shannonside FM, Sligo-Leitrim Fine Gael TD Frank Feighan, shared that Dessie McLoughlin had been a generous businessman:
