Weddings not affected by new attendance rules at indoor events

Weddings won't be affected by new rules capping the attendance at indoor events.

Sporting, music and cultural events will have to be entirely seated and limited to half capacity from next Tuesday.

Nightclubs will close between December 7th and January 9th, while pubs and restaurants return to previous restrictions requiring table service only.

The Government says the moves were taken due to the potential risk to the health service posed by the Omicron variant.
