Weather conditions to deteriorate later in the week

Very wet conditions are expected to hit western coastal counties on Thursday and Friday.

Met Eireann has issued an advisory for Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Donegal, and Connacht until Saturday.

It's predicting heavy rain in places with weather warnings possibly issued from tomorrow.

Forecaster Elizabeth Coleman says the east of the country will escape the bad conditions.
