Walkers on Sliabh Ban warned of danger of ice falling from turbines

Walkers who brave the elements to visit Sliabh Ban in Roscommon are being warned of the dangers that falling ice could pose.

 

Johnathon Cassidy who's Chair of the Sliabh Ban Community Amenities Group says signs have been erected to warn people about the issue.

He says because of the lack of wind some turbines are turned with their blades overhanging the fencing around the hardstands, and people are warned to give extra distance which this cold snap continues.
