Booster clinics are now open to anyone over 60, health care workers, and those with impaired immunity.

Walk-in booster clinics are being rolled out for healthcare workers and people in their sixties from today.

Attendees need proof of their birth date and photo ID, while healthcare workers need their employee ID. You also need to have an appropriate gap since your last vaccination.

Damian McCallion is the HSE national lead for vaccinations and testing - he says you can check details, times and dates, on the HSE website.

Consultant thinks it's important anyone over 60 or those with impaired immunity come forward to get a booster appointment. Over 666,000 boosters have been given out so far.

It comes as the green light's been given for everyone over the age of 16 to get a Covid booster vaccine.

Consultant Geriatrician at the Mater Hospital in Dublin, Dermot Power says third doses are still vital in the fight against new variants.
