After a marathon count on Sunday which continued into the early morning today, 10 seats have been won across the Local Electoral Areas of Ballymahon, Granard and Longford so far.

Voting recounts are taking place for two LEAs in Co. Longford today.
After a marathon count on Sunday which continued into the early morning today, 10 seats have been won across the Local Electoral Areas of Ballymahon, Granard and Longford so far.
A recount is starting at 9:30 this morning in Ballymahon.

Meanwhile, Fine Gael requested a recount for the Granard LEA, as a difference of four votes was identified between Fine Gael candidate Colin Dalton and Fianna Fáil's David Cassidy.
The recount is scheduled to take place at 2pm.
Counting is to resume for the Longford LEA, which is planned to start at 12pm.
