Upgrade plans to well-known local service station given green light

Planning permission has been granted for upgrades to a well-known service station in the region.
KPA located on the N4 in Ballinalack applied to Westmeath County Council to install solar panels covering the total roof area of the building.

Also included in the application is the construction of an extension to the existing toilet block to accommodate additional toilets and a fire escape.
County planners granted the application with 4 conditions attached, including that noise levels do not go beyond 55 decibels during the daytime hours of 8am to 8pm.
