Two local walkways to receive fresh injection of funding

2 well-known walkways in the Shannonside region are set to benefit from a new injection of funding.

The Lung Lough Gara way and the Suck Valley way in Roscommon have been allocated €10,000 each for enhancements to both walks.

The money will be used to install a 50 metre long boardwalk over a bog section on the Lung Lough Gara Way and a boardwalk and stiles on the Suck Valley Way.

Nationally, over €200,000 has been allocated for the enhancement of walkways and trails.
