Two local banks close due to Covid staff shortages

Several branches in the region are facing disruption due to staffing issues.

Two Bank of Ireland branches in Roscommon were closed today due to staff shortages.

The closure affected customers in both Ballaghadereen and Boyle with ATM services also not available.

In a statement Bank of Ireland say a number of employees are currently self-isolating and updates of expected re-opening dates will be posted on their website.

Branches in Carrick-on-Shannon, Cavan, Monaghan and Carrickmacross also faced disruption operating at reduced opening hours.
