Public health officials are warning some people who've recovered from Covid-19 are still experiencing long-term side effects and aren't back to full health.

While new figures show 92 per cent of the over 25,000 cases here are classed as having recovered, some are suffering with fatigue and have difficulties exercising.

The Covid-19 death toll has risen to 1,703, after a further eight patients died, while eight new cases have been confirmed - two of which are in county Roscommon.

Leitrim and Longford cases have remained stable at 84 and 285 cases respectively.

Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Ronan Glynn, says everyone still needs to do all they can not to contract coronavirus.
