Two drivers arrested by Longford Gardaí for drug and driving offences

Local gardaí have arrested 2 drivers for a series of driving and drug offences.

One motorist was stopped on the N5 in Longford and was found to have no driving license.

There was also no insurance, tax, or NCT on the vehicle.

Following a drug test, the driver tested positive for cannabis, cocaine, methamphetamines and benzodiazepines.

The vehicle was seized and the motorist will face a court date in the near future.

The other motorist was pulled over for speeding and the vehicle was found to have no NCT or Tax

The driver then tested positive for cannabis and cocaine and was then placed under arrest.
