Two Brazilian men with addresses in Ballymahon in Longford have pleaded guilty to possession of a submachine gun and ammunition earlier this year.
34-year-old Jefferson Dos Santos and Hugo Henrique Rodrigues, aged 23, both with an address in Ballymahon, as well as a third man, Ildomar Cabrar Da Silva, who has no fixed address, pleaded guilty at Tullamore Circuit Court this week to possession of the firearms in Clara in May of this year.
All three men are currently in custody in Cloverhill Prison and they will be brought back before Tullamore Circuit Court in November to be sentenced.
