Tributes are being paid to Ian McDonnell who died in recent days after being hit by a stolen car last week.
Mr McDonnell tried to stop thieves from taking his car last Sunday, and died in hospital on last Friday from injuries he sustained.
The McDonnell family lived in Elphin for a number of years when his father worked as Bank Manager in the town.

Local councillor Valerie Beirne says people in the area are heartbroken for Ian's wife and family who are from the local area also:
