Leitrim Council says it's open to talking to traders on Main Street in Carrick-on-Shannon about maximising the benefit of having some streets closed off for traffic at the weekends

Leitrim County Council is open to talking to traders on a section of Main Street in Carrick who would like to expand or use more outdoor space during the weekends.

Director of Services Joe Gilhooly says the local authority is co-operating in trying to help traders make the best use of their space right around the county.
