Over ninety thousand euro (€92,813,00) has been allocated to heritage buildings and projects across the Shannonside Northern Sound region. A total of €1m

Over ninety thousand euro (€92,813,00) has been allocated to heritage buildings and projects across the Shannonside Northern Sound region.

A total of €1m has been announced for 52 built heritage projects under the July Jobs Stimulus package across the country, including five local projects - two in Longford, two in Roscommon and one in Monaghan

€25,000 has been allocated to Creevaghmore House, Ballymahon and over thirty-three-thousand (€33,884.00) euro for Carriglass Demesne

The Bessmount Park House (Music Room) in Monaghan is to receive €16,000 and Kiltullagh Church of Ireland in Ballinlough, Roscommon is to get €10,500 and Strokestown Park Church will get just over seven thousand euro. (€7,429.00)

Projects described as requiring urgent works also received funding - including The Claragh Bridge in Cootehill which received €30,000 and Monaghan County Council 'Carrickmacross Workhouse' which received €35,000.
