Three local hospitals were without any general or critical care beds last night.

The situation has improved slightly at Cavan General Hospital, with two critical care beds now free.

The HSE Covid-19 Daily Operations Report analyses the number of vacant beds in Irish hospitals.

As of 8pm yesterday, Mullingar Regional Hospital, Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore and Portiuncula University Hospital were without any general or critical care beds.

Three other hospitals in Navan, Kilkenny and Portlaoise are also at capacity.

There are now two critical care beds in Cavan General Hospital, but still no general beds.
Sligo University Hospital has sixteen general beds and one critical.

The overall number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Irish hospitals has fallen by 135 in the last 24 hours.
