Mullingar was due to host the 2020 and 2021 events but both were cancelled due to Covid-19.

Chairman of the Fleadh Executive Committee, Joe Connaire says a huge amount of work has gone into organising access to Mullingar.

''The whole logistics around parking should be okay and look there'll be a little bit of frustration with a crowd coming to town which would be big numbers coming to the Fleadh, there's always a few little issues but look, people are anxious to get into town and  I would say to people to follow the signs keep calm and you'll get there. Once you come off the N4  dual carriageway you will be in a car park probably within five to six minutes.''
