Third dose of a Covid vaccine to be offered to immunocompromised people

The HSE says people with compromised immune systems will start to be offered a third dose of a Covid-19 vaccine from next week.

Health care professionals will identify patients aged 16 and over who need a third dose.

Immunocompromised people such as certain cancer patients, renal patients and people on certain medication, will start to be offered a third dose from Wednesday, with appointments expected to be scheduled from Friday.
